Early Encouragement
Early childhood - 0 - 5 yrs
Caring for young children is both delightful at times and exhausting. Preschoolers are learning how to develop independence, manage big feelings and find their place in the world. In this workshop you will learn the importance of taking time for teaching simple life skills, the power of connection over correction and how to notice and celebrate progress not perfection. You’ll get tools to help you effectively problem solve issues as they arise and which build your child’s emotional intelligence.

The Art of Encouragement
School age - 6 - 12 yrs
Foundational introduction to the Positive Discipline approach. In experiential weekly sessions you will practice mutually respectful and effective tools to improve family connection and reduce conflict. You will learn how to recognize the hidden belief behind your child’s behavior, your own role in it and how to encourage long lasting and positive change.

Encouraging Independance
Parenting Teenagers
Move from your usual manager role to becoming a trusted mentor to your teen as you learn how to encourage them an atmosphere of mutual respect that affirms everyone’s self worth and autonomy. Explore respectful strategies for reducing power struggles, navigating strong emotions and boundaries in a way that fosters long term trust, responsibility and resiliency.

Parent Workshops

Each workshop series is 16 hours in total and is made up of eight classes of approx. two hours per session. Classes are usually held once a week at a school or community centre. Private courses are available on request for companies, clubs, or charitable organisations for groups of ten participants and more .
Workshop Fee: €199 per family (ie. one or two adults who care for the same child(ren)
Fee includes a copy of one of the following books : ‘Positive Discipline’ (German or English edition) ‘Positive Discipline for Preschoolers’ or ‘Positive Discipline for Teenagers’ Refreshments and extra resouces also included.
Parent Educator Certification Training
‘Teaching Parenting the Positive Discipline Way’
This official Positive Discipline Association (PDA) certification training to become a parent educator is ideal for school counsellors, educators, sports coaches and other child care professionals who want to offer parent communities they work with effective, long lasting and meaningful support.
Location: Berlin / Germany
Schedule: Two day workshop - 9am-5pm
